Welcome to Scentczar Corporation’s Second Radiological
Dispersion Device and Nuclear Event Symposium. As we organize this second
symposium our military is again, as in the 1940’s and 1950’s,
preparing for potential action on a nuclear battlefield. Terrorist plans
and intentions involving Radiological Dispersion Devices (RDDs) or small
nuclear weapons continue to threaten our homeland. Our Second Radiological
Dispersion Device and Nuclear Event Symposium will update participants
on these two evolving threats and response strategies including government
organization, ranging from international efforts involving our US State
Department to local government organizations, response planning, hardware
and software tools for military responders and first responders, and
innovative medical technology and response planning. The second symposium
will again cover the areas: threat, response tools, and medical response,
during a three-day symposium in Richmond Virginia. Symposium proceedings
will be made available in a convenient compact disk format.
Opportunities to Participate
Interested parties may participate through attendance, various levels
of sponsorship, or by presenting papers, posters, or exhibitor displays.
We will again host a speaker’s dinner and networking reception
in the exhibitor and poster display area. Our goal again this year
will be to foster one-on-one interactions between members of the
response community by providing frequent breaks with refreshment
in the exhibitor
and poster display area.
Our Experience with the First Symposium
Last year we were able to bring together 173 professionals from federal
agencies, state, and local government, hardware, software, decontamination
systems, and medical vendors. We had 25 excellent technical papers
from government and industry covering both Homeland Security and DOD
plans and activities. We had one sponsor, 14 exhibitors, and a full
house of poster boards. We received overwhelmingly positive comments
that
lead
us to
believe this Second Radiological Dispersion Device and Nuclear Event
Symposium will prove highly relevant to the community.
Organization of the Web Site
Bookmark this site. We intend to make this web site dynamic, providing
frequent updates, as symposium planning evolves with participants committing
to sponsor the symposium and its events, exhibit, speak, and present
posters. We will provide hot links to sponsor and exhibitor home sites
as they become available. The web site will provide the speakers agenda
as it evolves, information on exhibiting and presenting posters, travel
information, hotel information, and allow participants to register for
the symposium online. A convenient menu that allows participants to pay
for the specific services they require is provided on the registration
page. Scentczar Corporation accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express,
Company checks and Federal employee training vouchers.
